Psyche of the Sky

A maverick electronic music producer, since 2000 Psykovsky has worked across a wide range of solo and collaborative projects, and is today acknowledged as one of the most auspicious psytrance artists. The discography spans 21 collaborative Psykovsky & Friends LP releases, building a distinct sonic language at the intersection of dark, psychedelic dancefloor energy and meticulous sound design.

The videography contains 36 music videos and a virtual AV-set from the sophisticated Psystream series performed online in 2020, alongside a music-theory webinar dedicated to Nano-Synthesis — Psykovsky's own approach to micro-level sound construction. Further collaborations extend to appearances as part of Osom and Conical Brazers.

Beyond performance, Psykovsky works as a music-software developer and audio-DSP researcher — designing the proprietary Harmonic DAW and a catalogue of standalone VST3 instruments and effects, and publishing a series of open-access technical notes on spectral processing (see Research, below). The catalogue is also supported by an optional token-based storefront.

Spectral Audio Research

Vasily Psykovsky is an independent researcher, composer, and software developer, and the creator of Harmonic DAW, a digital audio workstation for which he designs the audio engine and its spectral-processing tools. His research develops structure-aware and stateful approaches to spectral audio — pitch-relative harmonic-index representations, conservation-constrained spectral transport, and dynamical-systems models of timbre — with an emphasis on turning each result into a practical, real-time effect.

This program has produced a connected series of technical works, including an octave-shell occupancy descriptor, a reaction–diffusion model of spectral evolution, a graph-traversal resonator synthesizer, and a conservation-based latent-state processor, each released as a documented DAW effect and archived with a DOI. He has a background in classical composition and performance. Current interests span spectral signal processing, invariant analysis of audio transformations, generative synthesis, and the design of experimental music software.

Alongside conventional channels, the project also operates an optional on-chain storefront (the PSYKO token on BNB Smart Chain) through which software, releases, collectibles, and event tickets can be purchased directly.
